Nohbody

OC commission (Fairy goddesses series) for my buddy JKrolak, her name is Nohbody
Nohbody prefers to describe herself just a humble craftsfae, who happens to be the legendary maker of Noh masks with near magical qualities for the Miyajima Karaori Stage. Where it not for a mischievous kami or maybe it was a kitsune, she would have contentedly remained in that peaceful life, teaching others how to make Noh masks for performances.

But no, someone stole and scattered her masks throughout the countryside. And so Nohbody emerged from her workshop, rising to the challenge of retrieving her magical creation before they could do damage. After years of effort, Nohbody is proud to say that she has managed to retrieve almost all of them from assorted museums and collectors without incident. Only two remain unaccounted for. One was forever beyond reach. Some thief had fumbled it into a vat of solvents before Nohbody could reclaim it. Last she saw it was floating out to see, the paint pealed off and wood warped and stained green. She was sad to see it destroyed. But at least she could take comfort in the knowledge that no one would willing wear it. Who knows what it could do. The other, her exquisite Noh Mask of the Fox had been traced to an isolated shrine. One of the older shrine maidens had gone missing. But now that Nohbody traced her to a fairy clan that had been visiting, her quest would soon be at an end. After all, how hard could it be to reclaim it from her? It's not like she would put it on...
